Meet The Author

Pace Gainey is a bright and determined 6-year-old with a passion for making a difference in the world. For her 6th birthday in December 2024, her mother, Pierra Heard, decided to give her a truly special gift—bringing to life something Pace has talked about for quite some time: a book that shares what she would do if she were president of the United States at just six years old. From an early age, Pace has been described as gifted and extraordinary, with an insatiable love for learning. Since she was three years old—when she first began clearly expressing her ambitions—she has confidently declared that she wants to be president. Her determination is unmatched; when she sets her mind to something, she makes it happen.

Following the last election, Pace became even more committed to her dream of becoming president. But one question continues to puzzle her: Why can’t kids run for president? If she had the opportunity, her campaign would focus on kindness, equality for all, and protecting the environment—values she holds close to her heart.

Beyond her presidential aspirations, Pace is a proud fan of all things Cleveland. Cleveland is more than just her home—it represents the community, growth, and opportunity she hopes to champion throughout her life. As she continues her journey toward a presidential run in 2056, Pace will keep showing the world what it means to lead with heart, vision, and a deep love for the people and places that inspire her.
